LOH Salt River Float

Event date:
Sun, 07/27/2025 - 7:00am

Continuing with our KEEP COOL theme for July and August, Jeni Ford has planned an LOH float event

Lets float - and with any luck we will see a few wild horses, turtles, otters and maybe even an eagle, and even a cow or two.

Bring your Life Jackets (it's the law), water guns, sunscreen, water shoes/sandals, hats, WATER and anything else to make your float enjoyable.  But remember less is best, what you carry down must be carried back.
I will need two vehicles to meet me at Granite Reef 6:30 a.m.   Everyone else can meet at Sheep Crossing (far left side of parking lot), air up paddleboards, kayaks, etc.
We will float from Sheep Crossing to Granite Reef - this is about a 3 ½ - 4 hr float.  We'll stop at Mud Cliffs for a light snack and dip.
Take out/get out at Granite Reef, the drivers can shuttle the Sheep Crossing drivers to pick up vehicles at Sheep Crossing.

We will then meet -up  for breakfast/lunch at Sunnyside Breakfast Lounge by 11:30 - 12:00 where the non-floaters can join the floaters around noonish.
(need someone to reserve table).
